The first Webkinz® in the Classroom book was designed for students to use along with the web-based Webkinz® program. After releasing that book, I had numerous emails asking me about activities that could be used when you have a group of children and their Webkinz® pets, but not the computer. These requests came from teachers, Girl Scout leaders, parents planning birthday parties, and other group leaders.   Then, the co-author of this book decided that teaching a summer school program for children could begin with "Using Webkinz® in the Classroom" but would require other hands-on activities. That turned into the collaboration for this book!
